    Six golden rules.

    1. On the skin.

Check the charts for how much to dilute in a carrier oil.

    2. First, a small test.

One drop on your forearm: if the skin turns red you can still use them, but always diluted.

    3. Away from eyes and ears.

And from mucous membranes. If an oil gets into your eyes, don’t use water: dab with a carrier oil.

    4. Citrus and sun don’t mix.

After putting a citrus oil on your skin, no sun or tanning lamps on that area for 12 hours.

    5. Children, pregnancy, medication: ask your doctor first.

Some oils are not suitable for little ones or during pregnancy. If you take medication, ask your doctor first.

    6. The diffuser.

Keep the diffuser out of children’s reach. Descale it regularly.

These recipes come from the traditional use of oils for everyday wellbeing: they are not treatments and do not replace your doctor. If a complaint is severe, sudden or lasts for days, call your doctor.
